Saying 'I Love You' To Your Children

I have been meaning to write this post for ages, but I feel like now is the perfect time. Why? Because I noticed that my little boy says 'I love You' A LOT! It melts my heart every single time and I am bursting with pride, love and happiness.

Autumn Outfit

I recently bought a couple of bits and bobs for Zachary from Tesco and I included some of them in this Autumn outfit. I got him a pair of Brown Leather Look Trainers (only £9.00) and a cute little polo t-shirt with denim and corduroy details (£3.00 in the sale). He is also wearing a green toggle cardigan and brown combats from Sainsbury's (TU).

Beat The Bloat With Lactofree

I was recently asked by Lactofree, if I want to take part in their 'Beat The Bloat Campaign' and follow a 7 day meal plan featuring some of their product. I usually avoid cows milk, due to many reasons, but... the main one is the fact that my body doesn't cope well with lactose. I am not allergic to it, but it gives me a sore stomach and makes me really bloated. That's why I decided to give Lactofree a go. Guess what? I can drink it, without feeling horrible afterwards! I am not going to stop drinking nut milks, but it is good to know that I can have cows milk if I feel like it.

OOTD: First Day At School/Nursery with House Of Fraser

When House Of Fraser asked me to share my thoughts about Zachary starting school/nursery and pick an outfit for his first day, I couldn't say no. I was planning to write about it anyway, so this post is the perfect opportunity.

OOTD: Goodbye Summer

For some reason, the weather has been beautiful for the past couple of days and I really hope it stays this way till the weekend. Perfect excuse to get more use out of Zachary's cute summer shorts. He received them for his birthday from his grandparents. The t-shirt was a birthday present from them as well actually :)

OOTD: Casual Superman :)

Hi everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful Bank Holiday Weekend. I was supposed to share this outfit with you ages ago, but I totally forgot :) Ooops...

Baby Boy / Girl Birthday Party Inspiration

As promised, here are some photos from Zachary's 3rd birthday party. It was a lovely day and we had loads of fun :) I got all the decorations from Asda and Poundland and all the food, including cake was from there as well.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD IN A CAR!

hot kids in cars.jpg

Being 100% responsible for a life of a vulnerable human being is scary. Just thinking about it makes me feel uneasy, but it is our responsibility to do our best to protect our children and keep them safe 24/7. This includes not leaving a child in a car unattended EVER! It can be fatal!

OOTD: Hawaiian Shirt and Denim Shorts

When it comes to toddler fashion, I like to keep things comfortable and simple. With all the sunshine we've been getting lately, Zachary's go to outfits consist of shorts, a t-shirt and sandals, but I also love the way he looks in casual shirts. I got this Hawaiian Print Shirt from Asda for £4.00 and I think it's gorgeous! Their shirts are usually £7.00, which is super cheap anyway, but getting it at a lower price means that I can buy other designs without breaking the bank too.

PS. I am soooo in love with the photos I took. Zachary was posing like a pro and the light was just perfect. I will be  printing and framing some of these for sure!

Toddler Clothing Haul: George at ASDA sale

My local Asda has a big sale on children's clothing at the moment and I couldn't resist picking up a couple of items for Zachary. I actually went to the shop to get potatoes, but I came out with these :) haha. Typical.... If you do your groceries in Asda, make sure to check out their clothing section for some real bargains. 90% of Zachary's wardrobe is from their collection and I think that the quality is spot on! They also have a selection of reduced items online HERE. Here's what I picked up.

Hawaiian Shirt (£4.00)
The shirts at Asda are usually £7.00, which is amazing value for money anyway, but getting this one at such a low price was even better!  I love the denim detail on the sleeves, collar and pocket.

2 pack T-Shirts (£3.00)
You can never have enough simple short sleeve t-shirts for boys. Fact! :)

2 Pack T-Shirts (£3.00)
More simple t-shirts. I adore the mint green one with buttons and a cute pocket!

Cuffed & Ribbed Jeans (£5.00)
I prefer cuffed trousers (or shorts) for Zac. This way, he won't be dragging them across the ground in the park :) haha. The waist is a bit too big for him at the moment, but he will be able to wear these in Autumn/Winter.

Hoodies (£4.00 each)
I have almost every single colour/design of these already, but for £4.00, I just couldn't resist getting more! The quilted orange one feels like a designer item - seriously! It is incredible! The navy one with brown shoulder pads is more simple, but still cute! Zipped hoodies are essential for active toddlers in my opinion.

Do you buy clothes for your baby/toddler/kid in Asda?  I absolutely love it, especially when they have a sale on :)

PS.I took some photos of Zachary, wearing one of the items from this haul, so keep your eyes peeled for a Summer OOTD :)

Have a lovely Sunday!

Recent purchases: cups, containers etc.

I don't spend an absolute fortune on my child, but I love shopping for fun bits and pieces for Zac, especially if they help to encourage him to eat more/better etc. I recently picked up a couple of bargains in ASDA's reduced section and ordered some cute straws on ebay as well. I will link everything below, if I can find it online.

Food Containers
Zachary loves Planes and Spiderman, so I knew right away that he will love these containers. I bought them for storing raisins, blueberries etc for days out or car journeys and I also use them in the house, because Zac thinks they are very cool :) I am not sure, if you can still get them in ASDA, but I found them on ebay (HERE) for £2.99 each in various designs. They are very sturdy as well, so I will be ordering more.

Mickey Mouse Cup With Straw
This cup is perfect for our long walks. I do power walking and push Zachary in his stroller for 1-2 hours sometimes so I have to make sure he has something to drink with him. You can buy this design (and other ones) HERE for £2.99.

This type of cup is Zachary's favourite, unless he is drinking through a straw. I like to replace his cups every couple of months, because they get damaged in the dishwasher and thrown about the house :) haha. You can get this one in most supermarkets or on amazon etc.

You can buy similar ones from Dunelm and Amazon quite cheap and they are ideal for making cookies with your little one :) I will be sharing a post about baking with Zachary at some point, so keep your eyes peeled for that :)

These are just a nice colourful addition to Zachary's drinks and they also look fab in photos :)

Small Purple Saucepan (£4.99 in TK Maxx)
I got this little saucepan for cooking tiny meals for Zachary. I don't like using big pans, when I am only cooking a small amount of food. You can get it HERE. I love the colour as well.

If you have any recommendations for food related items for kids, let me know in the comments below. Zac is quite a fussy eater, so I do my best to make things more fun for him.

New blogging adventure :)

Hi everyone and welcome to my (our) brand new Mummy & Baby Blog! I couldn't be more excited about this new adventure and I can't wait to get started. I have lots of blog posts planned already and I recently started adding vlogs from our little days out to my youtube channel

I felt quite restricted on my beauty blog and I didn't want to turn it into a big medley, so creating my 'mummy space' on the Internet was something I have been planning for a long time. I wish I have started sooner, but hey... better late than never! We are planning another baby for 2015, so it will also be my pregnancy blog in the future. I am sooo excited!

If you haven't  heard about my little boy yet, his name is Zachary and he is turning 3 next month. I still can't believe it to be honest, because I feel like I gave birth to him recently (I also look like it, haha).

Let me know, if you have any baby/mummy blog post requests and I will add the topics to my diary.

You can now follow Mummy & Baby Blog on Bloglovin as well and we would be delighted if you joined us on this new adventure :)

Love, Sandra zzz
